It is known that Academy award Winner AR Rahman had earlier iscussed about Rana’s music and songs with the film’s director KS Ravi Kumar and Rajinikanth a few months back. At that time, one song for Rana was composed much to the satisfaction of the director and the Superstar.
However, our sources reveal that the situation for further discussions and other song compositions could not take place due to Rajini's hospitalization. Following this, AR Rahman has decided to put Rana on hold on the request of KS Ravi Kumar.
With Rajini in Singapore for treatment, there is no clear idea on when he will return. And it is uncertain if he would immediately get back to the sets and don the greasepaint. In such a situation, AR Rahman has decided to put Rana in backseat for the timebeing.
